Selfreflection is a collaborative project developed with Brightlands and Zuyderland, designed to support gastrointestinal and liver cancer patients during their rehabilitation phase. The app emphasizes the importance of regular physical activity in improving patients' conditions. It enables users to select daily activities, track their progress, maintain a diary, and easily communicate with their healthcare providers.
Research revealed that over half of the patients struggled with motivation and frequently forgot to engage in physical activities, leading to a sedentary lifestyle. The previous app was difficult to navigate, cluttered with too many options, visually outdated, and confusing due to unfamiliar icons.

In response to this feedback, Brightlands, Zuyderland, and I, along with input from patients, developed an improved version of the Selfreflection prototype app. We revamped the interface to be more intuitive and visually appealing, simplifying navigation and enhancing user engagement.
The redesign includes an innovative smart mirror interface that encourages users to begin their routine each morning. This interface provides a variety of exercises, allowing users to tailor their activities to their preferences. Additionally, the app includes push notifications to remind users of the importance of staying active, helping to reinforce their motivation and commitment to their rehabilitation goals.
